Information is not knowledge.
Knowledge is not wisdom.
Wisdom is not truth.
Truth is not beauty.
Beauty is not love.
Love is not music.
Music is ..........THE BEST!

Sully Siben-One with Time
Drums, Vocals
Not much is known of Sully. He lives a quiet life after touring for a majority of his life. He dont wanna work, he just wanna bang on the drum all day! Favorite quote "dude"

Joan Herzing-One with sax appeal
Tenor Sax, Vocals
It was a cold, snowy day in March of 2003 that Joan was asked if she wantedto see what the inside of the Blue Olive van looked like. It just so happened the child-safety lock hadn't been working properly... weird. Joan's been a Blue Olive ever since. She was originally brought on as a sax player, but soon found her place in the Blue Olive vocal line-up as well. Musical influences include Branford Marsalis, Wayne Shorter, Ann Wilson, and Sheila Gonzales. During the day, Joan works in advertising
getting moms to shop at Goodwill, convincing everyone to eat Rocky's
pizza, and helping teenagers around the state fight the evils of the tobacco industry.

Anton Seda-One we're not sure of
Trombone, Vocals

Anton was born long long ago, into a fine Bohemian home. There wasn't a shortage of love or music, as he would regularly fall asleep in his mothers lap while listening to trombone solo's. The lush tones of God's favorite instrument breathed deep into his being as he slept the many nights in peace and happiness. He would dream of angels playing
long silver and gold, sliding instruments up in heaven as he slept.
His family moved regularly as a family of trombone players, has trouble finding regulargig's. They traveled north from Texas. Moving from town to town, and ended up just south of lovely Wisconsin, in the land of Flatness. There his Father fell ill, and it came time for the family fortune to rest on the shoulders of the young Anton. Yes, he was quite young, but was very familiar with the trombone, having been bottle fed on a Conn student model trombone with a nipple instead of a mouthpiece. He loved the feel of the slide, and the touch of the bell against the side of his head. It felt like home to him. As he would breath deeply and let the air flow through him and the trombone it was as though they were one. Mixing the air from the planet with the music the universe provided as his lips vibrated and the sounds came out in one thoughtless pure motion. It was magic, but it was just how he was raised, and what his life was meant to be.
He first went to Chicago, and sat in with some of the Jazz bands, but he found his heart was with the young peoples music, back in the 60's. He sat in with the Beatle's when they were in Germany, but he found that their songs were too short, and there wasn't enough room for trombone solo's. He almost was in the Mama's and Papa's, but they baulked at his insistence, that they change their name to "The Mama's and Papa's, and a Trombone Player." What was he to do. Fortunately he has found his musical home playing with the Blue Olives

Chad Whittinghill-One with Jazz
Trumpet/ Flugelhorn
Chad Whittinghill is by far the best trumpet player in the entire band. He was born on a stormy Monday in Bloomington, IL and has played the trumpet since age 11. In an attempt to achieve international fame and fortune, Chad joined the Blue Olives in 2003. Several years later, after no fame and no fortune, he is just happy to have his picture finally appear on the band poster. Chad also holds the record for most times injured by a stray, flying drumstick. He intends to sue the band for occupational negligence at a later date. Chad has also played trumpet for Public Display of Funk , the Vibe Syndicate , and currently can be found on Monday nights performing with the Clyde Stubblefield Band in Madison, WI.
Famous Quote: “Screw the drums and guitar, we all know women dig the flugelhorn .”

Bobby Naramore-One with large horn
Bari Sax
Bobby is the youngest member of the group. Due to the band's need to have someone carry heavy equipment, he is kept around as the band's baritone saxophone. He also occasionally provides us all with
amusement due to his ignorance as to whether a song is a Blue Olives
original or a cover. Among his other previous bands, he played saxophones for the Wisconsin Singers at UW-Madison. Although it pained him to hand in his sequin-studded costumes, he eventually returned to the saxophone and joined the sequin-free Blue Olives. In addition to the Olives, Bobby plays with the Edgewood College Jazz Band, sits in with other area bands, and even does occasional studio work. Besides music, Bobby is a big fan of politics and mathematics.
Perhaps this is what drove him to get a B.S. in Political Science from
UW-Madison and a B.A. in Mathematical Statistics. He pays the bills
working as a Data Analyst and spends what free time he has following
and helping out in the political scene. His strong political views
and library record likely have him under surveillance by the FBI
and/or NSA.
